small update

A new website is on it's way. Right now as this one is runningon a fairly old version, I have some bugs when trying to update. It's just very hard to find time to work on the new one.Now everything is mostly in place. I just need to work on the design and finalize some texts. I hope I will be able to publish everything very soon and make this website more lively again.Nico

The best boy

Josh is the best boy he has grown up so much and can do so many things and say so much.. his favourite words are buh which means no and dah which means there here you go take that... we are now starting to hear mummumumumu and bahbahbahbah which we think is us Muma and Papa. He has started to say Wow and oooh and no as well in the last week. Bob the builder is a favourite and Bobbobbobbob indicates he would like to read the DVD cover for the DVD. what a fab boy. Josh doesnt really like eating it is boring and takes to much play time however exceptions can be made for profiteroles see the very messy picture...here (http://www.bigloose.com/bigler/n2v2/index.php?option=com_rsgallery2 Itemid=30 catid=28)

Josh is Walking

Josh is officially walking... he started a few days ago with little walks between Mummy and Papa in the pool and lots of standing without holding on. Today Josh has been walking around all by himself. He did a couple of laps of the lounge this afternoon and then later in the pool was happily trotting around and making descicions as to where he wanted to go and what he wanted to do.So there we go Josh is walking. Watch Josh's first steps in video here. (http://www.bigloose.com/bigler/blogfiles/2007.05.27FirstSteps.mov)

Phuket - Thailand

We had a great time in Phuket staying at a lovely hotel. Josh was well feted by the staff and we discovered that we can holiday with Josh but there are limitations to what you can do with a baby in a hotel... He loved the sea and the beach, but wasn't quite so sure about the elephants up close and personal. It rained quite a lot as May is the most rainy month so we spent a lot of time letting Josh just have fun and sleep when he needed to so we didn't visit that much. We did take a walk into the local village and that was interesting and we also went into Phuket Town and wandered around the markets and I bought 7 zips for about 7CHF so I can finish the cusion covers I started in January.... Poor Josh has an ear infection so we took him to the Dr and he obligingly slept through the entire examination (see him sound asleep in the waiting room) We are back to Singapore for the last 10 days of our holiday... more soon - The Bigler's

Josh is 1

Josh is 1 year old... Wow time has just flown by this last year, yet at the same time it seems a very long time ago that we came back from the hospital with a wee boy. This is a photo of Josh taken on his birthday outing to the bird park in Singapore. He is watching very intently the Birds and Buddies show where the birds fly over the crowd and through hoops and everyone claps. Josh liked that and here he is clapping. We also went to the zoo with Julie Glen and Nate. I think Josh is having a bit of a brain overload with all the new things he has seen and done in the last week. Take a look at our photos from our week in Singapore - the Biglers.

Singapore

Yes.... we made it to Singapore... after a long trip (16hours) with KLM during which Josh slept most of the time we arrived in Singapore. the taxi ride from the airport along the rain tree lined motorway reminded me of the first time I was driven down that road when I arrived in Singapore. Josh thought it was a bit confining to be yet again stuck on someones knee after being confined for 16 hrs but we made it without too much crying. Nico's first impression of Singapore ( a place Nikki once called home): green, modern, hot, humid and tall.. We arrived at Julie and Glen Kenny's and were welcomed with a comfortable bed and AC - all very necessary.. Josh slept through the night (amazingly) well mostly he had a little wake up at 23h30 and was a bit wriggly sometimes but slept from 20h30 right through until 6h30 the following morning. Fantastic. So here is Josh being good on the plane... Josh enjoying immensely the swimming pool experience when Florence Kant took us to the American club for lunch. Soo good to catch up with old friends and good to meet new ones....
